After lashing out at Israeli spokesperson Avichay Adraee, Angham receives a threat message on her phone.
Commenting on this threat, the famed Egyptian singer issued a statement saying : “ I have received an extremely vile threat message on my phone.
A threat message that made me laugh because it indicated your weakness and meanness. We know very well who you are and the whole world knows that you are occupiers, rapists and murderers, after a while history will not remember who you are.
Angham promoted cultural tourism from in front of Giza pyramids with her song "Balady El Tareekh”.
She performed at the Marquee Theater in Cairo Festival City mall on February 3.
The world’s most popular audio streaming platform, Spotify, announced Angham as its ambassador for January, 2023 as a result Angham appeared on a billboard at the heart of New York’s Times Square.
The EQUAL Arabia program was initiated to profile and support the work of Arab women artists.
“I am very happy to be Spotify's EQUAL Arabia ambassador for January,” Angham said, “I am always happy and supportive of campaigns that support women and artists in the Arab world in continuing their journeys of creativity and brilliance in order to reach the highest levels of ambition and success. Angham is amongst the most popular Arab artists in North Africa and the Middle East today. Starting her career in 1987.
As part of the program, Angham’s most recent song, “Aarfa Emty”, is added and promoted on Spotify’s EQUAL Global and EQUAL Arabia playlists.
In addition, she received billboard placement at one of the most iconic landmarks in the world, New York city’s Times Square.
Over the years, Angham has released over 28 albums and countless singles, including her hits “Sanda Aleik”, “Wahda Kamla”, “W Nefdal Norkos”, and “Sidi Wesalak” which is her most streamed song on Spotify.
Being one of the most prominent Arab artists in the industry, she has made music in many Arabic dialects, including Egyptian and Khaleeji.
In 2022 alone, she released four songs, including “Loha Bahta” and “Ana Mesh Daeefa” for the Egyptian show “Faten Amal Harby” as well as her rendition of the Egyptian National Anthem for the hit TV series AlEkhteyar.
