Lebanese megastar Elissa, popular Egyptian band Massar Egbari band and stand-up comedian Alaa El Sheikh will perform in Westival at Alex West Club in Alexandria on June 16.

Elissa is one of Lebanon's most famous singers and one of the best known artists in the Arab world

 

On February, 2021, Elissa released the first episode of a new weekly podcast show titled ' “Elissa - The Podcast” on Anghami music platform.

 

The Lebanese heartthrob was the first Arab singer to launch her own podcast.

 

In her podcast Elissa narrates tales about her life, experiences and successful career.

 

Elissa was the only Arab artist in Brandwatch’s most influential people on Twitter 2020.

“ I am happy and honored to be the only Arab artist in Brandwatch’s most influential people on Twitter 2020 along with the most influential people around the world” Elissa previously tweeted.

In August, 2020 the Lebanese star’s fans celebrated that her songs amasses 90 million views on YouTube in one month. 

 

 

Elissa released ‘’Sahbet Ra’ay’’ (a woman who has an opinion)album on Saturday August 1, 2020.

 

The album achieved booming success and the Egyptian dialect song “ Sahbet Ra’ay” achieved as well huge success and topped Twitter trend in many Arab countries.

Elissa’s album carried a lot of surprises to her fans; as it included a song that tells the story of her 20-year-long career, as well as four Egyptian songs.

 

 

Elissa was the best-selling female Middle Eastern artist for 2005 and 2009.

 

In 2005, 2006 and 2010, she received the World Music Award for Best Selling Middle Eastern Artist, and became the first Lebanese singer to receive the World Music Award for Best Selling Middle Eastern Artist.

 

It is worth mentioning that the Lebanese star has sold over 30 million albums worldwide.

Elissa is also one of the richest celebrities in Lebanon, with an estimated wealth of over $40 million. 

 

As of 2017, Elissa has had over 44 million followers on social media.

 

It is worth mentioning that Elissa revealed having breast cancer in her clip "Ela Kol Ely Beyheboony" (To All Those Who Love Me), in which she shed light on her struggle with the disease and her recovery.

 

 

 

Popular Egyptian band Massar announced recently their collaboration with famed singer and actor Diab in their upcoming single "Habet Tabtabah" which is scheduled to be released soon.

On their official Instagram account, Massar Egbari posted a video with Diab while performing the song rehearsals, getting everyone hyped about what will be the outcome of this super interesting collaboration.

Massar Egbari celebrated the launch of its album titled “Nos El Hagat” ( Half The Things) with its Arab audience through a concert that took place in Berlin on June 3, 2022 in Oyoun theater and another concert that took place in Paris in Pan Piper theater on June 4, 2022.

 

Massar Egbari performed an online concert as part of We Online Music Festival II on June 15,2020.


In March 2020, Massar Egbari performed their first online live concert in Egypt on Facebook and YouTube to encourage people to stay at home and counter the spread of the coronavirus. 

Also, the Egyptian band participated in the events of the Arab Youth Festival that kicked off on March 19, 2019.

 

Massar Egbari was the only Egyptian band performing in the festival. 

The band presented a blend of different fusions of Arabic music in a series of mass concerts that took place at the Martyr Park in Kuwait. 

Their third album consists of ten songs which have been filmed as video clips; the album is considered different than the band’s two previous albums. 

Massar Egbari is an Egyptian rock band founded in Alexandria in 2005.

 

The band released their third album “Mosawamat" (Bargains) in July 2019 which brought them back to the music scene three years after releasing their album "Toqa’a w tqom" (Fall & Rise). 

Massar Egbari was awarded the title of Young Artist for Intercultural Dialogue between the Arab and Western worlds.

 

Additionally, UNESCO honoured Massar Egbari in 2011 in Paris. 

The famed Egyptian band participated in Black and White Music festival which kicked off on November 16, 2018, in Family Park at Al Rehab city. 

The opening ceremony of the festival witnessed for the first time the participation of the most popular Egyptian bands such as Black Theama, Sharmoofers, Wust El-Balad, Karakeeb, and Disco Misr. 

Black and White Music festival was considered the first musical carnival of its kind in Egypt; the most famous six Egyptian bands performed on one stage in the longest continuous musical day that lasted for 12 hours under the media auspices of Youm 7. 

Massar Egbari, in cooperation with famed singer Ahmed Sheba, previously released a song titled “Enzel we Sharek” (Go out and participate), which invited citizens to participate in the referendum on the constitutional amendments. 

The song was released under the slogan "For our country and for the next generations, go out and participate."
