Hisham Kharma performs at the opening ceremony of the World Aquatics Festival

 

Music composer & producer Hisham Kharma participated in the World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup in Hurghada’s Soma Bay.

 

 

Kharma scored and performed the official theme of the championship, in addition to rearranged scores from his work and two brand new ones.

 

World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup features 600 competitors from all over the world, and is considered as one of three water championships Egypt hosts this year, in addition to Artistic Swimming World Cup and Beach Water Polo Qualifyings.

 

Kharma’s music for the championship has a distinctive rhythm that suits the atmosphere of the event, with the use of instruments that create a rhythm suitable for the water.

 

Meanwhile, Kharma’s latest is soundtrack composition for YOM 13 which was released in Arab theaters. The first Arab 3D film made more than 22 million pounds after only one week. The film is written and directed by Wael Abdullah, and produced by Oscar Production & Distribution.

 

Last month, Kharma led the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup opening ceremony, performing music he composed specifically for the championship, in addition to the closing ceremony, while awarding the championship prizes and the entrance of VIPs.

Hisham Kharma is a Music Composer & Producer, Creative Director & Social Entrepreneur. Born and raised in Cairo, Egypt and having lived in Miami, Hamburg, and Dubai; Kharma has been influenced by multi-cultural experiences that shaped his mind & is reflected in his music.

In 2022, Kharma was chosen to compose the official music theme for COP27, the main theme for Cairo Drama Festival 1st Edition, and produce the World Fencing Championship official song.
