CAIRO - 18 July 2017: Sherif El-Bendary’s film is slowly conquering the world’s cinema one country at a time.

This time the film will be screening in Japan.

Bendary took the courtesy of informing his fans through Twitter.




Just about a month ago, ‘Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim’ was screened in Dubai theaters as the first Arabic film to be screened at Dubai Film Festival at the end of June.

This was the first feature movie for Bendary. The movie is about Ali, a man loves a goat that he calls her by the name ‘Nada’ and goes on a spiritual journey across Egypt with his best friend. Ali Sobhi, playing the titular character, won the Muhr Feature Award for best actor.

The movie’s first worldwide screening was at the Festival International du Film Francophone de Namur (FIFF) in Belgium. It participated at the Rendez-Vous French Cinema in Paris in January, and was also a participant at the Cannes Film Festival Junior screening.

The movie won 3 postproduction awards at Final Cut in Venice workshop.

Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim was written by Ahmed Amer and Ibrahim El-Batout. It was produced by Movie Clinic, Transit movies and Arizona productions and distributed by MAD Solutions, Film Clinic-Indie Distribution (FCID), and Loco Films.
