CAIRO – 13 April 2023: After a 4-day hiatus due to the bad weather and speedy winds, hot-air balloon flights resumed in Luxor governorate, Upper Egypt.

A total of 45 balloons flew in the sky on Thursday morning, carrying more than 1100 tourists from around the world, amid a state of joy and happiness, Youm7 reported.

A balloon flies from 40 to 60 minutes, at an altitude of 2,000 feet above land, an official of the Flying Balloon Company told the newspaper, adding that one balloon carries from 12 to 34 people.

Luxor Governorate occupies an advanced rank in the classification of countries that operate the hot-air balloon, as it comes third worldwide. All the companies operating in the balloon field are committed to civil aviation instructions, which ensure the safety of the participants through a set of strict precautionary and preventive measures.

Balloon flights come among the most popular adventure trips in the world, and Luxor is one of the most famous cities for these trips, due to its warm weather and extensive safety measures.
