Music composer and producer Hisham Kharma has finished the soundtrack of the new horror movie "DAY 13", which is set to be released on Eid al-Fitr, marking the first 3d Arab film to be made, in addition to that, Kharma used the Dolby Atmos technology in making the soundtrack, which will create a surround sound at cinema halls.
Commenting on his work on DAY 13, Hisham Kharma said “I used string instruments, especially violin and cello, in addition to piano with sound effects, so the music can keep up with the film, and add value to the tension needed in every scene. Music has an important role in horror films, it strengthens the scenes and makes the audience pay more attention, so I enjoyed the challenges in DAY 13.”
He added “I enjoyed working with the producer Wael Abdullah, who is a brave producer and director in his directorial debut, making a 3d film, that’s why I got interested in joining the film, and I hope it will be a theatrical hit.”
Written and Directed Wael Abdullah, by DAY 13 stars Ahmed Dawood, Dina El Sherbiny, Sherif Mounir, Ahmad Zaher, Jumana Murad, Mahmoud Abdel Moghny, Arwa Gouda, Nesreen Amin, Mohamed Tharwat, Farah (Fidra), Mohamed Al Kilani, Majdi Kamel, Nihal Anbar, Noha Abdin and Jihane Khalil. The film is produced by Oscar Production & Distribution.
Recently, Kharma has released his new song ‘Mosafer Anta’ on all music platforms, which is his first collaboration with singer Lena Chamamyan, and marks him the first Egyptian musician to use the Dolby Atmos technology.
