Budding actor Mahmoud Yassin Jr. recently released on his socials a poster of the character he plays in the military drama "El Kateeba101" (Battalion 101), which will air in the forthcoming 2023 Ramadan season.
Written by Eiad Saleh and directed by Mohamed Salama, the highly anticipated series with an impressive ensemble cast that includes Amr Youssef, Asser Yassin, Fathy Abdel Wahab, Ahmed Salah Hosny, and Wafaa Amer — revolves around Battalion 101, which was instrumental in countering terrorists in the North Sinai city of Arish in January 2018.
Mahmoud Yassin Jr's most recent achievements include being named Best Rising Actor at the Satellite Festival and receiving an award at the Arab Excellence and Creativity Forum for his role in the TV series ELLE MALOUSH KBEER.
The series was a strong hit of the 2021 Ramadan season, starring Yasmine Abdel Aziz, Ahmed El-Awadi, Khaled El-Sawy, Khaled Sarhan, and Badria Tolba; directed by Mostafa Fekry; and penned by Amr Yassin.
In the 2020 Ramadan season, he appeared in the Synergy-produced drama series AL-FETEWA, which was written by Hani Sarhan and directed by Hussein Al-Manbawi.
The show also starred Yasser Galal, Ahmed Salah Hosni, Mai Omar, Naglaa Badr, Ahmed Khalil, Riyad Al-Kholi, and Enaam Salousa.
As for his off-season work, Mahmoud appeared in the third season of NASIBI WA QESMETIK (MY DESTINY, YOUR DESTINY) as Abdullah, and in the second season of ELA ANA (EXCEPT ME) (2021) in the story titled 'ON THE SIDELINES' as Adham, as well as in the second season of the TV series ZAI EL QAMAR in the episode titled 'UMM AL AYAL.'
