Prominent Egyptian Egyptologist Dr. Zahi Hawass, said that the percentage of discovered artifacts does not exceed 30% from what is already existing, noting that modern Egypt is built entirely on top of ancient Egypt from Alexandria to Aswan.
During a phone interview with "Masaa DMC" program presented by TV host Eman El Hossary on Sunday evening, Hawass added that the lost city was named as such because no one expected it to be built in that location.
It was also named the Golden City because it was built during the golden era.
The acclaimed Egyptologist pointed out that only one-third of the lost city has been discovered so far, explaining that a large mummified fish covered in gold was discovered in the city, and no one knows the reason for this until now.
