Animal lovers in Egypt should get ready for a new adventure, because the Russian comedy film "CHEBI: MY FLUFFY FRIEND (CHEBURASHKA)" was released in Egyptian cinemas on Wednesday, March 8th by Four Star Films, which is managing the film's distribution in Egypt.
CHEBURASHKA is an adaptation of the 1960s Eduard Uspensky's children's book Gena the Crocodile and His Friends.
It follows an orange, obsessed, fuzzy creature with enormous ears, a short tail, and medium-sized paws named Chebi that arrives at a quiet coastal town and starts a new life there.
The official trailer reveals that when Chebi is adopted, a chain reaction of exciting new experiences ensues, resulting in a slew of new potential owners and adventures in which it crosses paths with several interesting faces and demonstrates extraordinary abilities, such as playing chess.
The film, which was directed by Dmitriy Dyachenko, stars an all-Russian cast, including Olga Kuzmina — who voices Chebi — as well as Sergei Garmash, Fyodor Dobronravov, and Elena Yakovleva.
