The international French pianist, Richard Clayderman spent 3 hours on stage in a state of joy and pleasure, accompanied by the attendees of the annual charity concert, held by Breast Gynecological & Immunooncology International Cancer Conference (BGICC) at one of the grand hotels.
The conference was entitled “Innovation and Creativity”. During the concert, about 14 musical pieces were presented with lots of audience interaction, including artists, public figures, and doctors taking part in the conference from across the globe.
Prof. of Clinical Oncology at Ain Shams University and Head of the BGICS, Dr. Hisham El-Ghazali, states: “in the 15th edition, we’ve decided to present a remarkable charity concert for the attendees. Selecting the international musician, Clayderman was a good choice.
He immediately agreed to take part in our charity event whose profits are dedicated to supporting and enhancing the life of patients suffering from that disease through undertaking international initiatives and benefiting from their experiences for carrying out experiments and reaching a consensus on managing breast cancer and gynecology in order to achieve women’s welfare.
Our greatest goal is to see Egypt cancer-free.
Furthermore, it is his third concert in Egypt, for he performed a concert in 2020. He also held an exclusive concert in Egypt (2016) in celebration of his 40-year anniversary of his unique career. However, this is the first time he performs a charity concert in Cairo.”
The attendees include: Dr. Mostafa Al-Feki, star Hussein Fahmi, Mahmoud Hemida, Salwa Mohamed Ali, Bushra, director Amir Ramses, along with a number of public figures. In his speech -delivered in French-, Richard expressed his gladness to be back in Egypt and take part in a distinguished charity concert in Cairo. Hence, he compiled a number of breathtaking music tracks which the audience love, along with a unique visual music program. Among the tracks he presented were: “Sortie April’s Theme”, “Titanic”, “My Toy”, and “You Raise Me Up”. Moreover, he presented a medley on Paris and another one on the best-known music tracks. He pointed out that when Dr. Hisham El-Ghazali invited him to participate in a charity event for cancer patients, he didn’t hesitate to agree, highlighting the idea that music gives us strength and patience, especially those fighting their disease.
It is noteworthy that the international musician and pianist “Clayderman” is known as the Prince of Romance after the First Lady of America, Nancy Reagan -the wife of the fortieth President of the USA, Ronald Reagan- called him by this title for his unique world-famous romantic tracks, including: “Titanic” movie music, “Love Story” and other world’s most famous tracks. Additionally, “Clayderman” is regarded as one of the most successful musicians worldwide; whose tracks’ sales reached over 150 million records in more than 40 countries around the world.
