( Interview) Ahmed Hatem: The genuine talent behind different characters

 

Arousty is a light romantic comedy movie and its incidents are very close to the mindset of the whole generation.

 

 

Young couples now in their relationships are afraid of each other, want always to test each other and think of each other in different ways, so from this perspective I think Arousty touched them one way or another, found it relatable to their experiences and loved it.

 

 

 

 2-The touch of romance and comedy in the movie is modern, unconventional, and not stereotypical. How did you make this combination?

 

The credit goes to the film’s scriptwriter Mostafa Barbari, because he is a smart writer who knows how to convey reality simply and honestly at the same time, and this is what made the movie garnered positive feedbacks among youths. One of the most important feedbacks we got is that Arousty movie made us want to fall in love, from my point of view this is the strongest and most credible feedback I got pertaining to the movie.

 

 

 

3-You and Jamila Awad in particular and the entire cast in general, appeared in the movie as if you are not acting, as if these are your real characters.Tell me more about behind the scenes of the movie  that led to the state of intimacy and love that we saw on the screen.

 

One of the most important factors that helped to create this intimacy state is the director Mohamed Bakir. He created a calm mood that was suitable to the film and its energy, because if you suffocate far from the camera, you will not know that you are nice and your blood is light in front of the camera. Behind the scenes of the movie was extremely nice, and although most of us did not know each other personally before, there was a quick and spontaneous harmony between us and I discovered that Jamila is a very nice person and we became close to each other quickly, and the same applies to Marwan Younis, he is funny yet serious and respectful, the whole cast were great and I hope to work with them again.

 

 

 4- In Arousty movie Dalila tested Sherif more than one time ,did you experience such tests before?

 

 Frankly speaking no.

 

5- I will ask you the question that was asked in the promo of the movie, which is better planned marriage ( Salonat) or marriage based on love in the first place 

 

I believe that the successful marriage is the one whose result will be successful, not the one whose name is sweet on the womb, so if planned marriage resulted in acceptance between the couple and they love each other at the end, in this case it is a successful marriage. We see a lot ofthe love stories are very strong and end with marriage, but they don't last for a month or a year. We must know that marriage is about love, not just sweet, sweet, and sincere feelings. This contains much greater needs than that. It contains understanding, attention, and responsibility. If we neglect them, we will eliminate these sweet, sweet feelings.

One the other hand, we see a number of marriages that came after strong love stories end with divorce. Marriage is not only about love, sweet feelings and words, inside this love there should be other values including understanding, attention, and responsibility, if we neglect them, we will eliminate these sweet feelings.

6- What is the secret behind the huge success of Ana W Heya ( Me And Her) series?

 

Because it was a simple comic romantic series yet it presented a lot of valuable messages. Also the presence of veteran comedian Ashraf Abdel Baki and Hannah el Zahed was a key factor behind the success of the series, there was a great chemistry between three of us. The whole cast was great including Mirihan Hussein, Salwa Mohamed Aly and Mahmoud el Bezzawy.

 

 

 

7- You participated in El Gouna Film Festival with your movie Full Moon, Tell us more about this movie 

Full Moon houses five love stories all of them took place  in the full moon day. The movie houses a notable cast of stars including Khaled Elnabawy, Sherine Reda, Asmaa Abulyazid, Ahmed El Fishawy, Yasmine Raies, Ahmed Malek and directed by Hady El Baghoury.
