CAIRO – 27 November 2022: On November 27, numerous cultural and artistic events will be held in various locations.
At 4 p.m., the National Organization for Urban Harmony is holding the awards ceremony and exhibition of the architectural competition representing Egypt at the 18th Venice International Architecture Biennale, which will be inaugurated by Egypt’s Minister of Culture Nevine el-Kilani at Al-Hanager Theater in Cairo Opera House.
The French Cultural Center in Alexandria is organizing a series of seminars entitled "Tutankhamun" with the researcher and writer Walid Fekry, at the center's theater in Alexandria. The seminars will discuss the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb on November 4, 1922, 100 years ago, the story of the discovery of the tomb, the true history of the young king, the truth about his death, and the secrets of his life.
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing, through the Museum of Antiquities of the Cultural Communication Sector, a celebration on the centenary of the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb. The celebration includes a symposium shedding light on the discovery of the world-famous tomb, followed by a screening of a film entitled: “Dream is Downloading.” The event will be held at 12 p.m. in the Delegates Hall, in the Library’s Conference Center.
The Egyptian Opera House, as part of the Giants of Art series, will celebrate the birth anniversaries of musician Riyad El-Sonbaty and artist Laila Mourad. The musician Mohamed Sultan, who passed away a few days ago will also be commemorated. The celebration will be carried out through a concert performed by Abdel Halim Nouira Ensemble for Arabic Music led by Maestro Ahmed Amer at 8 p.m. on the Grand Theatre.
