CAIRO – 17 November 2022: The 15th Luxor International Painting Symposium, organized by Cultural Development Fund Sector in cooperation with Luxor Governorate, will run from December 7 to December 22.
Participants must be part of the fine art movement. Also, participants willing to take part in the 15th edition must not have participated in the symposium’s previous edition. It is preferable that applicants willing to participate have previously held a private exhibition.
Over the past 25 years, since its establishment in 1989, the Cultural Development Fund has been able to play an effective and influential role in supporting and developing cultural life in Egypt.
The philosophy of transforming archaeological sites - after their restoration - into centers of artistic creativity had a great impact on the development of the cultural level of the population surrounding these centers, especially since these sites were provided with all the requirements that guarantee them to carry out their cultural and artistic role.
The experiment began in 1996 in Al-Harawi House and extended until the number of archaeological sites that were converted into artistic creativity centers affiliated with the Cultural Development Fund reached 17 sites.
