CAIRO – 7 November 2022: For a duration of two days, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat is organizing an artistic and cultural event under the title “Fayoum Heritage”.
This event comes as part of the governorates heritage activities, which are organized by the museum in cooperation with the General Egyptian Authority for Tourism Promotion in Fayoum Governorate.
For her part, Senior Heritage and Cultural Communication Specialist Nancy Ammar said that the event included a number of interactive art workshops focusing on the handicrafts for which Fayoum Governorate is famous for.
That is in addition to an artistic workshop focusing on making handmade carpets. Another workshop explained how to use palm products in the manufacture of natural handicrafts such as wicker works.
Moreover, Senior Heritage and Cultural Communication Specialist Manar Hassan added that an exhibition of photographs was also held. The exhibition displayed works of a group of artists that portrayed the most prominent cultural scenes of Fayoum governorate.
The event concluded with an artistic performance for the Arab Fayoum Troupe.
