Meet Tutankhamun’s hunting box

CAIRO – 17 October 2022: Referred by Carter as one of the greatest artistic treasures of Tutankhamun’s tomb, this hunting box contained garments of the king inside of it.

The box is decorated with scenes of Tutankhamun defeating foreign enemies and hunting animals such as lions and gazelles. 

As with all rulers, it was important for the king to be depicted triumphant and strong.
