Mohamed Hefzy serves as President of international jury at Asia Pacific Screen Awards

Egyptian producer and screenwriter Mohamed Hefzy has been selected as the new president of the 15th Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) international jury.
 
 
The jury includes leading Indian producer Guneet Monga, actor, director, and producer Numan Acar (Turkey/Germany), renowned Australian filmmaker Sophie Hyde and acclaimed Sri Lankan director Vimukthi Jayasundara.
 
 
 
The international jury, presided by Hefzy, will select the winners of the Best Film, Screenplay, Cinematography, Performance, and Director categories.
 
 
 
In addition, it will award a Jury Grand Prize.
Established in 2007, the Asia Pacific Screen Awards is the region’s highest accolade in the film industry, recognizing cinematic excellence.
 
 
 
The award ceremony is held annually in cooperation with the founding partners the Paris-based UNESCO and FIAPF-International Federation of Film Producers Associations.
 
 
 
The winners of the 15th Asia Pacific Screen Awards will be revealed in Australia on Friday, November 11, 2022.
 
 
 
Hefzy was on the jury of the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at the Sundance Film Festival 2022 and was selected as a jury member for this year's International Emmy Awards.
 
 
 
The award-winning producer and screenwriter Mohamed Hefzy wrote, produced, and co-produced over 40 feature films in Egypt, the US, the UK, and the Arab world, in addition to TV shows and series.
 
 
 
In 2006, he established Film Clinic, which has now become one of Egypt's and the region's most significant production companies in terms of international market activity. Hefzy also founded Film Clinic Indie Distribution (FCID).
