Symposium on Personal Status Law to be held in Heliopolis Library

CAIRO – 3 October 2022: On October 3 at 5 p.m., the Heliopolis Library is organizing a legal awareness evening entitled "Personal Status Law and Marital Conflicts", which comes within the framework of the Heliopolis Association's strategy for community awareness of marital status problems.

The symposium comes as part of a series of symposia aiming to raise the legal awareness of the community in an attempt to simplify the legal articles that stipulate the community's rights and duties.

The Personal Status Law is one of the important axes in codifying the conditions of the family and society, especially after Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed the formation of a committee of legal and judicial expertise specialized in family cases and courts, to prepare a draft personal status law. 

This represents an important step on the road to supporting the Egyptian family, its stability, and the interests of children, which contributes to reducing judicial disputes in this regard.
