‘The Foundations of Decorative Design’ workshop to be held in Al-Sennari Archaeological House on Sept. 25

CAIRO – 25 September 2022: On September 25 at 5 p.m., the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing a free workshop under the title "The Foundations of Decorative Design" at Al-Sennari Archaeological House.

The workshop focuses on the history and types of decorations, how to draw decorations and the geometric measurements needed to prepare distinctive decorations with dazzling shapes, and the various rules used in drawing such as balancing, symmetry, proportion, bifurcation, repetition and others.

The workshop aims to shed light on the art of decoration that has accompanied man since ancient times, and flourished in all ages.

The intensive workshop consists of only one lecture, and targets youth from the age of 16 years and above.
