Hagar ElSarrag joins the cast of WATCH IT’s series ‘ETEZAN’

After her remarkable success in 2022 Ramadan season through “BITLOU’ AL ROUH” series, the Egyptian-Syrian actress Hagar El Sarrag joins the cast of the upcoming “ETEZAN”  series on Watch it platform, directed by Shadi Abdel Salam and written by Sayed Omar.

“ETEZAN” series is set in a social context about Rahma who suffers from mental illnesses and its reflection on her husband, child and everyone around her.

The series stars Sedky Sakhr, Rakeen Saad, Nabil Issaa and Zeinab Ghareeb.

Hagar ElSarrag participation in ETEZAN series came after her success in the 2022 Ramadan season, when she caught the audience’s attention through her role in Bitlou’ Al Rouh series, embodying the character of Omar Al Desoky’s wife (Ahmed L Saadany), Lina, a leader in ISIS in the Syrian city, Ar Raqqah. 

Hagar excelled in embodying a character that brings together naivety and rebellion as she smokes, hides her regular visits to the hairdresser, and wears makeup and does things that are prohibited for women of ISIS. At the same time, she’s dazzled by the world she lives within in Ar Raqqah and by her husband, the leader Omar, and his authority within the terrorist state.

The series was displayed on mbc channel and Shahid platform, starring the superstar Menna shalaby, Mohamed Hatem, Elham Shahin and Adel Karam, directed by Kamla Abou Zekry and written by Mohamed Hesham Obayya.

Hagar ElSarrag studied filmmaking and afterwards worked as an assistant producer, but her passion led her to the acting world, wanting to discover the relation between the director and actor, a thing that led her to decide working in front of the camera rather than working behind it.
