Located around 300 km from Cairo, in Mallawi, the tomb of Petosiris is one of the most important structures in Tuna al-Gabal.
Petosiris was the great priest of Thoth, deity of wisdom, scribal practices and knowledge.
The tomb, shaped like a small temple, is often described as having a ‘hybrid’ style, blending Hellenic and the Egyptian artistic motifs, with an outcome considered more ‘realistic’ and ‘full of life’.
