Breaking: Veteran Egyptian actress Ragaa Hussein passes away at 84

Veteran Egyptian actress Ragaa Hussein passed away on Tuesday at 84.

Ragaa Hussein is an acclaimed Egyptian actress who was born in Qulyobia in November 7, 1937.

Hussein debuted her artistic career in 1954.

She joined El Rihany theaterical troupe in 1958.

Hussein participated in a number of TV series including “ Mared El Gabal”, “Mofatesh Mabahes”, “ El Les W El Kelab”, “ Ahlam El Fata El Ta’er”, “ Raya W Sekeina”, “ Le Dawa’y Amnia”, “Ayza Atgwez”, “ Ze’ab El Gabal” among others.

Ragaa hussein has a vast cinematic repertoire that houses a number of acclaimed movies including “Afwah W Araneb”, “ Awdet El Ebn El Dal”, “ El Layaly El Dafe’ea”, “ Nawara”, “Wanas” among others.

In 2020, Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem honored Hussein and a number of Egyptian theater icons within the celebration of the Egyptian Theater Day presented by Sameh Hussein and Sahar el-Sayegh.

It is worth mentioning that First Lady Entissar Al Sisi honored Hussein on March 9, among other Egyptian women icons on the occassion of International Women’s Day.
