Al-Sennari Archaeological House to hold ‘Painting & Coloring Pottery’ workshop on Aug. 9

CAIRO – 7 August 2022: On August 9 at 11 am, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, in cooperation with the Drinking Water Company in Cairo, is organizing a free workshop in Al-Sennari Archaeological House for children and youth with special needs under the title “Painting and Coloring Pottery”.

The workshop focuses on producing realistic and vibrant artwork using acrylic colors by introducing these colors, their methods of use, their components, and the method of mixing colors and drying them on the pottery ore. The workshop will be accompanied by a puppet show.

The workshop aims to develop the children's drawing and coloring skills using different paint brushes, and developing the children's manual and sensory skills through the individual and group practice of drawing and coloring. This is in addition to providing the opportunity to learn about different artistic materials and models of pottery, integrating the children with special needs into society and discovering their skills.
