Al-Ghouri Dome Creativity Center to celebrate Islamic New Year on Aug. 1

CAIRO – 1 August 2022: Al-Ghouri Dome Creativity Center will celebrate the Islamic New Year on August 1 at 8 p.m., in cooperation with the Dialogue Foundation for the Arts and Cultures of Peoples.

Several religious chanting troupes will participate in the celebration, including Sama’a Chanting & Spiritual Music Troupe, Banat el-Hour Troupe and Sama’a Mawlavi Dance Troupe.

Al-Ghouri Agency was created in the era of a Circassian Mamluk who is Al-Ashraf Abu Al-Nasr Qanswa Al-Ghouri. He ruled Egypt from 1501 to 1516. His important architectural group is located at the end of Al-Ghouriya Street at its intersection with Al-Azhar Street.
