Son of Somali president visits National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

CAIRO – 26 July 2022: The son of the Somali president visited the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat. He was received by Head of the Museum Authority Ahmed Ghoneim.

Ghoneim welcomed him and gave him a presentation on the museum and its archaeological treasures, displayed according to the latest museum display methods in the world, pointing to the international and local status the museum has enjoyed since its opening in April 2021 and its reception of the royal mummies in a solemn procession from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir.

The son of the Somali president went on a tour inside the museum halls, during which he was accompanied by Marian Adel, curator of the museum. She gave him a full explanation of the museum's holdings and the sequence of the different historical eras of the displayed artifacts, from prehistoric times to the current era.

The guest expressed his admiration and appreciation of this great edifice.
