Prominent Egyptian journalist Mounir Amer passes away

CAIRO – 25 July 2022: Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem mourned the prominent Egyptian journalist Mounir Amer, who passed away on Monday.

Abdel Dayem stated that the late journalist was one of the pillars of the Egyptian and Arab press, stressing that he succeeded in enriching cultural and artistic life by addressing many diverse creative phenomena. She pointed out that he presented a large number of important social and political issues in popular articles.

It is worth mentioning that the late journalist Mounir Amer is the father of famed Egyptian TV host Sherif Amer. He started his career with Rose Al-Youssef magazine. His article in Al-Ahram newspaper and its weekly supplement attracted attention and achieved huge success, this is in addition to his other articles in Sabah el-Khair Magazine.
