Art D'Egypte launched the first edition of the Alamein Art Festival by revealing a collection of big-scale installations by local artists, whom were offered a challenge, to derive authenticity out of the mundane, to make something remarkable out of something that is usually left unnoticed.
The artworks are products of a month-long art symposium that E2 Alamein had hosted for 7 local artists which is IDG’s newest industrial park in North Coast whom are certified for their social and environmental sustainability policies and approaches.
Young artists were challenged to create artworks using factory waste, which is an innovation on its own, using art to fuse factory waste with nature and sea capitalizing on the concept of up-cycling.
On the occasion of the opening, they have committed to benefiting the surrounding community through art, music and interactive experiences; all within an environmentally conscious framework.
