CAIRO – 13 July 2022: Under the title "Antiques", Christie's Auctions in London displayed a large number of ancient Egyptian and Roman antiquities for sale, including an ancient Egyptian wooden mask dating back to the Ptolemaic era between 246-380 BC.
The wooden mask was valued to fetch between £20,000 to £30,000, but it has not been sold yet.
Christie's Auctions House said, in an official statement, that Egyptian metalwork is often completely colored with precious metals and copper, and sometimes it is artificial. It is used in a combination decorated with stone, glass and porcelain.
