CEO of Egypt’s General Authority for Tourism Promotion convenes with officials of 24 Mexican tourism companies - Min. of Tourism & Antiquities
CAIRO – 6 June 2022: CEO of the General Egyptian Authority for Tourism Promotion Amr el-Qady met with a delegation comprising managers and officials of 24 Mexican tourism companies, in the presence of the Ambassador of Mexico to Cairo.
The meeting came during their visit to Egypt to get acquainted with the various Egyptian tourist destinations, as well as its distinctive and diverse tourism components, and to visit a number of tourist and archaeological sites.
During the meeting, Qady referred to the readiness of the Egyptian tourist destinations to receive tourists from different countries of the world. He also briefed the delegation on the efforts made by the state to develop the tourism infrastructure, which include the establishment of a strong road and transportation network linking the various tourist cities, and reviewed the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities' efforts to promote the Egyptian tourist destinations and increase the inbound tourism movement.
Qady thoroughly discussed with the delegation ways to overcome the obstacles facing the Mexican tourism movement to Egypt and examined their suggestions on the matter.
For their part, the members of the delegation expressed their love and admiration of Egypt, its people and its ancient history, stressing that they enjoyed their visit to the various tourist destinations in Greater Cairo, Luxor and Aswan.
