CAIRO – 31 May 2022: Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem inaugurated an exhibition of rare Egyptian documents and another for books accompanying the activities of the "Twenties of the 20th Century: Milestones & Luminous Achievements" exhibition.
Both exhibitions will be held in the lobby of the Supreme Council of Culture.
The two exhibitions include a number of rare documents dating back to the twenties of the last century, prepared by the National Library and Archives, in addition to a group of publications by the Ministry of Culture represented by the Supreme Council of Culture, the General Egyptian Book Organization and the General Authority for Culture Palaces.
Abdel Dayem praised the plurality of the exhibits, which include various fields of knowledge, as well as historical documents that narrate influential events that took place during the twenties of the last century.
Moreover, Abdel Dayem directed to grant discounts of up to 50 percent on publications, which confirms the keenness to provide knowledge to all segments of society in continuation to implement the steps aimed at spreading enlightenment and achieving cultural justice.
It is worth noting that the exhibited documents include a decree to establish the Egyptian University, a decree approving the law of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, founding decree of Banque Misr, a decree establishing the Supply Authority, among others.
As for the publications of the Ministry of Culture, it includes various fields of science, literature, arts, novel and history.
