‘Farida’s Tales’ art exhibition for Farida Darweesh to kick off in Cleg Art Gallery on May 28

CAIRO – 26 May 2022: Cleg Art Gallery will host the opening of Farida's Tales exhibition for Farida Darweesh, on May 28 at 7 p.m.

Darweesh’s last artistic participation was during an art exhibition titled "Colors of Egypt 2" at the Egyptian Embassy in Berlin. Its activities concluded on June 15, 2018.

She participated with five paintings in the Berlin exhibition and 13 paintings in the Madrid exhibition in which she explored different attitudes and feelings that she embodied with her brush using oil and acrylic materials for the Egyptian environment to express the manifestations of the Egyptian wedding and glimpses of the governorates and cities of Alexandria, Nubia, Port Said, and a portrait of Egypt’s rural life.

The two exhibitions aimed to remind the world of Egypt's civilization and heritage and to correct the misconceptions of the West about Egyptian women.
