Al-Sennari Archaeological House to hold “Decorations of Al-Azhar Mosque" workshop on May 29

CAIRO – 26 May 2022: On May 29 at 5 p.m., the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing an art workshop entitled “Decorations of Al-Azhar Mosque", at Al-Sennari Archaeological House.

The workshop focuses on introducing the history and types of decorations by learning how to draw decorations, the geometric measurements needed to prepare distinctive decorations, as well as the rules used in balancing, symmetry, proportionality, bifurcation, repetition, and others, with clarification on the decorations of Al-Azhar Mosque.

The workshop aims to shed light on the art of decoration that has accompanied man since ancient times and flourished in all ages, reflecting the forms and systems of life, living, customs and traditions.
