Egypt’s star Amir El-Masry to serve as ambassador of United Nation’s Shabab Balad Initiative

Egyptian star Amir El Masry announced his selection as an ambassador for the United Nations international initiative,Shabab Balad, in cooperation with the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), which was launched for the first time as part of the activities of the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum. 

Egypt is the first country in the Middle East region in which this initiative is launched.

Shabab Balad initiative aims to support and empower young people in the fields of education, employment, entrepreneurship and participation.

During the official announcement, Amir El Masry stated as an ambassador for the initiative, “I am very proud of the opportunity that the United Nations gives me through the Shabab Balad initiative. I hope that I will have a direct impact on young people and we all help each other. I am very happy to be selected as an ambassador for the initiative... This is a great responsibility; I hope I can have an impact.”

Most recently, Amir El-Masry received the Best Actor award at the BAFTA Scotland Awards. 

In Ramadan season, 2022, sAmir El-Masry took part in the highly popular patriotic series “ El Ekhteyar” (The Choice) part 3, which is considered as the most successful TV series within the Ramadan race. 

He also participated recently in the Egyptian film Ritsa.

Currently, Amir El-Masry is waiting for the release of “Rogue Heroes” series in UK.
