Austrian Duo Aliada to perform in Egypt’s Opera House on May 15

CAIRO – 12 May 2022: On May 15 at 8 pm, the Egyptian Opera House, in cooperation with the Austrian Cultural Center in Cairo, will host a concert for the Austrian band Duo Aliada, on the Open Theater.

The band includes musicians Bogdan Laketic and Michal Knot, who will present a selection of famous compositions by Johannes Brahms, Edvard Grieg, Bela Bartok and George Gershwin, in addition to traditional Romanian and Scandinavian dances, and a number of international children's songs.

It is reported that Duo Aliada was founded in 2013 and drew attention due to their ingenuity in performing classical music. The duo presented more than 200 concerts in 40 countries, and won several awards. They were also selected as one of the New Austrian Music Groups for the year 2016-2017.
