4th Cairo International Gathering for University Theater to bear name of late iconic actor Mahmoud Yassin

CAIRO – 12 May 2022: The Cairo International Gathering for University Theater announced that its 4th edition will bear the name of late iconic Egyptian actor Mahmoud Yassin. This edition launches on October 22 and runs until October 28.

The Supreme Committee of the gathering had unanimously agreed to choose the late actor’s name, after the previous three sessions carried the names of Yehya Al-Fakharani, Mahmoud Abdel Aziz and Samir Ghanem, respectively.

This first international gathering for university theater in Egypt achieved great international success. The first edition was launched in October 2018, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Tourism Promotion Authority.
