Pics: Jewish antiques ceased at Cairo Airport

CAIRO - 6 May 2022: Five antique metal folding sheets of Jewish manuscript were ceased at Cairo Airport with a “foreign passenger of Arab origins” arriving from Saudi Arabia, according to a Wednesday statement by the airport customs.

The passenger also had a statue of a knight on a horse in his possession, but the Antiquity Unit at the airport decided it has no historical value. 

It has not been revealed what the origin of the sheets is, but the area of Saudi Arabia hosted a Jewish community for centuries.
