Maroon 5 band during their visit to Egypt - Min. of Tourism & Antiquities
CAIRO – 3 May 2022: On May 2, the Pyramids Antiquities Area hosted the members of the American pop rock band Maroon 5, on the sidelines of their current visit to Egypt to present a musical performance.
The band were received by Director General of the Pyramids Antiquities Area Ashraf Mohieldin, who welcomed them and took them on a tour inside the Pyramid of Cheops, the Great Sphinx Area and the Second Panorama Area.
During their visit, members of the Maroon 5 band expressed their happiness to visit Egypt and the Giza Pyramids Antiquities Area, which contains the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the only surviving wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. They also showed their fascination with the way the Sphinx was sculpted.
The band was keen to record their visit by taking memorial photos and short videos, which they will upload on their social media accounts on the various digital platforms, which in turn will promote the Egyptian tourist destinations.
It is worth noting that Grammy-Award winning Maroon 5 will perform live at the Pyramids of Giza on May 3, for the first time ever.
