CAIRO – 7 April 2022: The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities participated in the international tourism exhibition specialized in diving tourism, Eudi Show, which was held in Bologna, Italy.
For his part, Head of the Central Administration of Tourist Offices at the General Egyptian Authority for Tourism Promotion Maged Abu Sedira indicated that the ministry’s participation in this exhibition comes within the framework of the ministry’s plan to promote the various tourism products that characterize the Egyptian tourist destination, including diving tourism, which attracts high-spending tourists.
The Egyptian pavilion witnessed a distinguished turnout from Italian visitors interested in visiting Egypt and the cities of the Red Sea during the coming period.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, representatives of the ministry held a number of professional meetings with a number of international diving organizations such as PADI - Diving Alert Network and a number of tourism companies, in addition to holding meetings with a number of magazines specialized in diving tourism.
The most important diving locations in the Egyptian tourist destinations were presented, in addition to the places where marine sports are held, which are distinguished by attracting diving enthusiasts who enjoy the spectacular coral reefs it houses and the beautiful landscapes contained in the waters of the Red Sea.
These meetings also dealt with the state's efforts to preserve marine life and coral reefs, and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities' strategy for sustainable development 2030, in addition to reviewing the diving centers in Sharm El-Sheikh, Hurghada and the rest of the Red Sea regions, which hold ISO certification and apply safety standards, as well as the number of safari yachts with long trips, in addition to the sunken archaeological sites, which represent an underwater museum.
This is in addition to emphasizing the precautionary measures taken by the ministry, in cooperation with the ministries and concerned authorities, to face the coronavirus pandemic, and to vaccinate all workers in the tourism sector.
