CAIRO – 6 April 2022: On April 9 at 8 p.m., the Cairo Symphony Orchestra will hold a concert in Egypt’s Opera House, on the Grand Theater.
The concert’s program includes a collection of the most important international classical works by major composers, including Haydn's Sixth Symphony, Cello Violin Concerto, Dvorak Orchestra, and Beethoven's Fifth Symphony.
It is noteworthy that the Cairo Symphony Orchestra is the oldest in Egypt, as it was founded in 1959 by the Austrian conductor Franz Lichtour.
Since then, the orchestra has contributed to enriching the musical scene in Egypt by hosting the most famous musicians in the world and working to encourage Egyptian musicians, composers, and instrumentalists.
