CAIRO – 3 April 2022: In the upcoming few days, the Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction is preparing to announce the shortlisted novels for its 2022 edition.
Thirteen historical novels will compete in the United Kingdom, to win the prize money of £25,000.
The competing novels are set in the periods from the eighth century BC until the sixties of the last century, from writers from Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, West Indies and Punjab.
The winner will be announced at the Borders Book Festival in Melrose, from June 16-19.
