National Folklore Troupe to perform in Al-Ghoury Dome Creativity Center on March 10

CAIRO – 10 March 2022: On March 10 at 8 p.m., Al-Ghoury Dome Creativity Center will host a concert for the National Folklore Troupe in cooperation with the Artistic House of Folk and Performing Arts.

The ensemble will present an anthology of Egyptian folk dances, which highlights the authentic Egyptian heritage.

The organizers of the ensemble began to use the scientific method to document various folkloric dances, and preserve the form of clothes and movements. The songs accompanying the dances, as well as the music and musical instruments, were also documented.

It is worth noting that the ensemble was founded in the 60s with the aim of preserving the Egyptian identity. Since its establishment, the ensemble performed in over 100 countries.

The ensemble’s cadres, including choreographers and trainers, contributed to the support and establishment of more than 80 folklore troupes in various regions of Egypt.
