CAIRO – 24 February 2022: Hollywood star Gerard Butler seemed to really enjoy his recent visit to Egypt.
Butler visited the magical Luxor Governorate, as part of his trip to Egypt to enjoy the perfect weather in Cairo, Luxor and Aswan with his girlfriend.
The world-famous star enjoyed a Nile cruise in the heart of Luxor, and also enjoyed visiting one of the pharaonic and alabaster antiques factories on the western bank.

Ahmed el-Badri, a tour guide in Luxor, said that the western mainland is a charming location that attracts world celebrities and thousands of foreign tourists during the winter season due to its spectacular weather.

International star Gerard Butler visited the temples and tombs of the West Bank during his short visit between Luxor and Aswan. He enjoyed visiting one of the alabaster factories and sang with the workers inside it. He also rode an indigo boat between the east and the west unwinding in a warm winter atmosphere, which is hard to find anywhere else other than Egypt during this time of the year.

Hollywood star Gerard Butler enjoyed a quick trip between Luxor and Aswan on the eternal Nile River. He spent enjoyable times in Luxor, between the temples of the East and the West. The star enjoyed a Nile cruise between the east and west of Luxor. The humble star sang and danced with the workers of the antiques factories west of Luxor, exposing his spontaneous and funny nature. Butler also bought souvenirs from the bazaars of the West Bank. He made sure to dance on the tunes of the folklore song “Luxor Baladna” [Luxor is our City] in the western mainland.
It is worth noting that Butler plays a secret agent in the film "Kandahar". The film’s scenario is written by former Military Intelligence officer Mitchell LaFortune, based on his experiences at the Defense Intelligence Agency in Afghanistan. It is directed by Ric Roman Waugh. The Hollywood star completed filming his scenes in Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia, which started on December of 2021.
The film participated in the Cannes Film Festival market and is directed by Ric Roman Waugh, the same director of Butler’s latest film, “Angel Has Fallen”.
