Rising Egyptian star Yasmina El-Abd is starring in a new HBO Max show titled “Theodosia”.
“Theodosia” is based on the book series by Robin L. LaFevers that's premiering on March 10.
Set in 1906, “Theodosia” tackles the tale of supernaturally gifted 14-year-old girl named Theodosia Throckmorton (Eloise Little) the daughter of two acclaimed Egyptologists who lives in Edwardian London's Museum of Legends and Antiquities.
Theodosia and her younger brother Henry (Frankie Minchella), her friends Will (Nana Agyeman-Bediako) and Princess Safiya (Yasmina El-Abd), will explore the chaos that usually does occur with teenage life and school, while dealing with Ancient Egyptian magic and a secret society that aim to destroy the world.
The series is produced by Cottonwood Media, which produced the popular time travel series “Find Me in Paris.”
El-Abd previously partcipated in the Egyptian short film “The Shadow of Cairo” and Jordanian movie “Daughters of Abdul-Rahman.”
She’s also rose to fame through her playing Zeina role in the newly-released Netflix series “Finding Ola”.
