late artist Al-Ghoul Ahmed's exhibition to be held in El-Gezira Arts Center on Feb. 9

CAIRO – 9 February 2022: On February 9 at 7 p.m., Head of the Plastic Arts Sector Khaled Sorour will inaugurate the retrospective exhibition of the late artist Al-Ghoul Ahmed, in Ahmed Sabry Hall, at El-Gezira Arts Center.

Al-Ghoul Ahmed presented many special exhibitions, including an exhibition in Assiut in 1948, an exhibition in Sohag in 1951, an exhibition in Tanta in 1952, an exhibition at the German Cultural Center in Alexandria in 1973, an exhibition at the Museum of the Artist Mahmoud Said in Alexandria in 1978, among others.

One of the most prominent tasks assigned to the late artist is sculpting a personal statue of President Sadat in Mit Abu Al-Koum – Menoufia. Also, the late artist set up a memorial in Alexandria's Saad Zagloul Square in 1977.

Among Al-Ghoul Ahmed’s important artistic works is a sculptural group that he exhibited in the Venice Biennale in 1997.
