Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture & Arts announces final number of applicants for Farouk Hosny Awards

CAIRO – 2 February 2022: On February 2, Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts has announced receiving alll the artworks eligible for the semi-final stage of the 3rd Art Awards 2022.

According to the timetable set for the awards, these works will be presented to the specialized jury to vote on the artworks nominated for the final stage. Artworks at this stage are eligible to be displayed in a group exhibition.

For this edition, 749 artists, architects and plastic critics submitted 1460 works of art, as well as architecture and critical research in five branches; painting, sculpture, art criticism, architecture, photography.

The Board of Trustees of Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts extended good wishes to all the contestants who were keen to participate.

A group exhibition for the artists and architects who qualified for the final stage and an award ceremony will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture at the Al-Gezira Arts Center in Zamalek.
