Today, Monday the 31 of January, the movie “Sondok El Donia” will have its special screening by 5 PM in the evening, at the Artistic Creativity Center as part of the activities of the 47th and 48th edition of the Film Association Festival.
The panel will be in the presence of the film director Imad Al-Bahat, who also co-wrote the movie, along with the film’s producer and one of its heroes Amr El-Qadi and the artistic producer of the film Mohamed Eid. The panel will be run by the symposium Film critic Riad Abu Awad.
The film plot goes around a one-night story, in the Downtown area of Cairo, tackling a bunch of stories related to a group of strangers and the hardships they faced that night.
Meanwhile, at 7:00 p.m., the movie “Bara El Manhag” will be shown in the presence of its director Amr Salama, who also co-wrote it. The film stars Maged Al-Kedwany and the child Omar Sharif, and many guests of honor, including Ruby, Asmaa Abu Al-Yazid, Donia Maher and Ahmed Khaled Saleh, and others. This movie had it's special producer Shahinaz Al-Akkad, one of the main attendees of this year edition of the Cairo Film Society Festival.
"Bara El Manhag” revolves around the story of a 13-year-old orphan named Nour, who starves to gain the respect of his colleagues through entering an abandoned house in front of the school, in a journey of self-discovery.
