CAIRO – 23 January 2022: On January 22, the Giza Pyramids Area received Head of the South Korean Cultural Heritage Authority and his accompanying delegation.
This came on the sidelines of his presence in Egypt within the current official visit of the President of the Republic of South Korea, and the signing of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of archaeological work between the authority and the Supreme Council of Antiquities.
Director General of the Giza Pyramids Antiquities Area Ashraf Mohieldin said that the visit included a tour of the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx and Panorama areas, where the head of the Korean Cultural Heritage Authority and his accompanying delegation expressed their admiration of the grandeur of the pyramids and the Sphinx.
It is worth mentioning that the head of the Korean Cultural Heritage Authority had visited a number of archaeological sites in Luxor, including the Karnak Temples, the Valley of the Kings, the Ramesseum Temple, and others.
In a similar context, the press delegation accompanying the President of the Republic of South Korea visited the Pyramids of Giza and the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, where they prepared photo press reports to be presented in the Korean media to introduce the Korean people to the various tourist components in Egypt, which works to promote tourism for the Egyptian tourist destination in South Korea.
