CAIRO – 11 January 2022: On January 11, a number of cultural and artistic events will be held in various locations.
The second Farouk Hosni Exhibition of Plastic Art will launch in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and will run until February 5. The exhibition will be held in the Arts Center in cooperation with the Culture and Antiquities Authority and Bahrain Gallery.
Through the exhibition, the prominent artist presents a distinguished collection of artwork estimated at about 51 paintings and sculptures embodying contemporary abstract art.
Moreover, the World Cinema Club, organized by the Cinema Palace of the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, will screen the film "Nebraska", followed by a critical discussion by Nader Al-Refai.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is holding a temporary archaeological exhibition at Sharm El-Sheikh Museum under the title "The Journey of the Holy Family", for a period of six months. The exhibition showcases three manuscripts from the holdings of the Coptic Museum in Old Cairo, and nine rare icons that are displayed for the first time and are chosen from a number of Egyptian churches.
Additionally, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing a free workshop under the title "Basics of Designing Plant Decorations", at 3 p.m., at the Archaeological Al-Sennari House.
