CAIRO – 30 December 2021: The Faculty of Fine Arts in Luxor Governorate is holding a workshop entitled "Differently Abled", on December 30 at 10 a.m. in Luxor Temple.

The day begins with a detailed explanation of Luxor Temple, then an explanation on how to create a painting that suits the nature of each participating individual.

The ancient Egyptians called the Luxor Temple the "Southern Sanctuary" because of its location inside ancient Thebes (now Luxor). The temple is located about three kilometers south of the Temple of Karnak, which was once connected by a walking path flanked on both sides by statues of the Sphinx.

The oldest evidence of this temple dates back to the Eighteenth Dynasty (about 1550 - 1295 BC).

Luxor Temple, like most other ancient Egyptian temples, was not on an east-west axis, but was oriented towards Karnak. This is because Luxor Temple was the main venue for one of the most important ancient Egyptian religious ceremonies
