CAIRO – 26 December 2021: As part of the series of activities and exhibitions launched by the Gayer-Anderson Museum for individuals with special needs, the museum opened the exhibition "Differently Abled" to display a number of paintings of plastic art for children and adults of special needs, with the participation of a group of artists and social institutions, including veterans and war casualties.
Director General of the Gayer-Anderson Museum Mervat Ezzat stated that the exhibition will run for a week and includes 50 plates of ceramics, gouache, beaded figures and handmade jewelry, executed by a group of children of special needs.
She pointed out that the museum organized, on the sidelines of the exhibition, artistic workshops for the participants to learn the recycling and use of newspapers in the manufacture of colored flower bouquets, the stages of manufacturing eggshell plates, and the teaching of drawing in color for landscapes.
