Al-Aragoz Festival kicks off on Dec. 22

CAIRO – 21 December 2021: Head of the Heliopolis Association Nabil Helmy announced the Al-Aragoz Festival [Puppet Festival] will be held at the Child Center for Civilization and Creativity (Child Museum) on December 22 at 11 a.m., in cooperation with the Central Administration for Child Culture.

Al-Aragoz is one of the most famous folk arts in Egypt. It sheds light on topics of daily life and societal problems and develops solutions to them.

The festival includes a number of artistic performances such as the Aragoz Show, the Magician's Show, Puppet Theater, as well as the Black Theater Show.

The festival is attended by children with special needs, and they present wonderful artistic performances that prove that they are indeed capable differently, emphasizing the state's initiative which aims to integrate them into society
